The distance between the installation holes is about 6.5 inches. (6-5/8)
Also the door handle set needs to be with the lock latch on the left side.

Thanks for confirming the measurement. You sliding door handle has a similar design to the 82-008 Patio Sliding Door Handle; the keyed version of this set is the 82-008K. These sets typically use the 89-003 Patio Door Lock Keeper. The hook can be positioned for the orientation you need, these are not specified for left/right handing.
The handle pulls used with these sets are either the 88-002 wood pull or 88-009 chrome pull.
Carefully look over each of their diagrams and compare them to confirm these are the right fit for your door.
