PGT Casement Window latch

Professional from Naples, FL
I work for a builder and our client has PGT Casement windows and the latch on one is broken. PGT no longer makes this latch nor knows anything about getting one. I have contact a window parts specialist, but haven't heard back. I read through some of your threads and it seems that you have had similar questions.

Thank you for your help.

Please see our 38-036 lock. This might match up to your part. Just check to see if the mounting holes and other dimensions match up to yours.

We purchased the 38-036 locks, and they fit perfectly, and in my opinion, are much nicer than the PGT originals. The only note that I have is that we needed the casement lock shims, which I ordered yesterday.

I have the same problem with my PGT Casement Windows. I am surprised and disappointed that
PGT did not do more to help with this problem. I will definitely let others know about their
lack of customer service. I will try the #38-036 as mentioned above.
Question What are the casement lock shims?
Thank you for your help.

Hello! The casement lock shim is the 38-036S. This goes behind the 38-036 during installation and helps pad out any gaps that might interfere with installation. It isn't always necessary, though, so keep that in mind.
