PGT Casement window latch

I'm looking for replacement latches that will work with my PGT windows. I have many of these casement windows and the plastic latches have become brittle. I contacted PGT and they offer no solutions. Can you suggest a suitable replacement?

Have you seen our 38-036? Think this might work as a replacement, but check it out and see if you agree.

It looks close, except mine appears to fit more flush against the frame. The 38-036 looks like it fits deep into the oval cutout in the frame. Is there a spacer available?

The 38-036 is the best match that we have. It may require modification to work, but we don't have anything closer.

I have the exact same window latches and was wondering if the 'handy person from Miami' was able to make the 38-036 latches work.
