I'm searching for replacement balances for PGT double hung, hurricane proof, tilt in windows. I've attached pictures I took before I left. The windows were installed in 2006 and the manufacturer has not been able to provide any info. The window has 2 balances on each side and the plastic shoe that allows the window to tilt in is what's broken. I'm not at the site now but I also did not find any no's or manufacturer's labels. I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks, Bob

Hi there Bob.
Thank you for reaching out to us. Take a look at the 15-231 with the natural brake. Review the specifications and see if the thickness and width match up.
This appears to be a tilt window, so we recommend the 3/8" Series 900 or 5/8" Series 600, depending on the diameter of the outer tube. Just note that these balances are meant to be used as two per side. Two spiral balances per side of the window aren't usual, but we have seen this setup from time to time.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Hi and thanks for your reply. I won't be at the window site until October so I will then take some measurements and get back to you. I think the old shoe had a round piece that the window peg fit into. The bottom of the shoe broke. I'll get more pictures when I get there.
