Pacific Industries window balance and shoe

I am looking for the pivot shoe and the spiral balance to fit the old 1992 Pacific Industries tilt window. This is the narrow size cam and thin spiral balance.

Also, please explain the different color of the pivot shoes such as yellow, blue, black, red, etc...

It's hard to say what you have without dimensions. You may have our Series 900 spiral balance, which has a 3/8" diameter tube, and our 15-211 pivot shoe, which is 7/32" thick and 1" wide. You are you going to have to carefully compare your dimensions to these parts to confirm, though.

Manufacturers color the cams to differentiate between different shoes. Unfortunately, each manufacturer has its own color system, so it's all pretty confusing. The best way to know what you have is by measuring it.

Thank you, so if I buy this blue cam, which pivot bar I need to fit this cam?

Oh, there could be a few possibilities, actually. There's no one pivot bar that can work with the 15-211 shoe. If you'd like, you can remove a pivot bar from your sash and take a quick picture of it for us to see. From there we can try to find a good match.
