The grooves on the outside handle have smoothed out and will no longer hold the tightening screw. I was wondering if the 40-101 Handle pair Brass finish would fix the problem? The rest of the set is in great shape.

I can't be sure. I've used the 40-049 to replace Pado handle sets before, so it's feasible that the 40-101 may also work, but I'm not 100% sure. Carefully compare our pictures and measurements to your own hardware and see if you could get it to work.
