Paella storm door spindle and spring?

The handle on my door is not springing back so the door doesn't close without being locked. The only identifying number on the door is the picture I have submitted. I am assuming it is the spindle and spring that need to be replaced but, am not 100% certain.

I'm afraid couldn't match that number to anything. It would be best to send us some photos of the part itself. In the meantime, take a look at the 40-191 mortise lock. This might be the part you need to replace, but I'm not sure.

Thank you, Dave. That is definitely the mortise assembly for my storm door. It makes sense that the spring mechanism would be contained within. I ordered it on your recommendation. Thank you again.
