Part 23-043 is slightly wider than my roller

Question

I ordered part 23-043 as it appeared to match the broken part, based on measurements I took and compared before I ordered. Both parts appear nearly identical on comparison when I received them. However, when I attempted to install the new part, I discovered that it is slightly wider in one place than the original part.

The attached photos show the old part at the top and new part below. The wider point on the new part is noted on the photos with an arrow. Due to the width, I cannot install the new part in the closet door channel.

It is not possible to squeeze the new part slightly because the width is due to the metal tube, a fixed width that cannot be compressed. Is there a part just like 23-043 that is slightly more narrow? Any other ideas?

Thank you for your patience in this matter. Unfortunately, the 23-043 is the closest match we've been able to find. The only thing we can recommend is to file down the rivet a little to get it to fit.
