Roller ID

Quick Learner from North Carolina

2478 A-S NYC are the only identifiers on this part. I removed it from the bottom of my sliding glass door. It's a single wheel piece original to the house, circa1963.

If you could replace the part or recommend a replacement part that would be great!

1 5/8" on wheel height

13/16" mechanism width

Thanks for the help

Thanks for your patience during this busy season. I'm not certain of this roller's identity, but I am looking into it for you and will get back to you as soon as I can with more thoughts. Many thanks for your patience.

Thank you for your help I appreciate it Bob. I've had no luck with the Lowe's guessing game.

Thanks for your patience as Bob and I looked into this. Take a look at the 81-004 patio roller. I'm thinking yours could be an earlier version of this roller. Not sure, but see if there is more of the roller housing still in the bottom rail of the patio door. The 81-004 roller is attached at the top of the roller housing though the bottom rail with the 33-103 flat head screw. If it is this type of roller you will need to take the bottom rail off of the door to access that screw below the patio door glass. Not an easy fix you will need help or contact a professional familiar with patio doors. Like I said I'm not sure, but I do believe this might be the roller you need to use.
