Would 40-097 work with a door that is 2 1/4 thick?

Unfortunately, the 40-097 is only designed to work on doors ranging between 1" and 1-3/8" thick as stated on our product page. We apologize for the inconvenience but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
