Everything about this storm door set looks like it will replace our current one. I've checked all of the required dimensions. However, our storm actually is 7/8" thick and this product requires 1". Will it still work for our door? I've included a photo of our current set.

That may present some issues. Namely, the screws that come with the 40-058 set will be too long, but that's easily fixed by reusing your originals. Somewhat harder to get around is the fact that the spindle on the handle will be too long. If you're handy, you could trim that down to size, but that's not exactly the easiest thing to do. Just something to keep in mind.
