Part for American Standard 5500 door

Question

I need to replace the locking mechanism part of the my American Standard sliding patio door.  I have attached a picture of where the part is located in the door and the model number information.

Looks like you need a new mortise lock. I can't be 100% sure of what you have without seeing the original. However I think our 82-218 is worth considering based solely on the design of the cutout. Look it over and see what you think. Ideally you would compare it to the original to ensure that the design and size match up, but if you don't have the original then you will have to just use your best judgement. There's unfortunately no guarantee in that scenario.
