Part for Andersen screen door

Question

Hi, we've got a 12 year old Andersen 2000 series screen door ( Serial number 0012835117 ) with the retractable screen feature. As per the photos at the top on each side is a metal tab. To release the screen downward you push both the left and right metal tabs towards the center and the screen engages. It may be a bit difficult to see but part of the right side tab broke off and the rolled up screen can no longer be lowered. I spoke with Andersen and was told the part is no longer available. We do make use of the screen and would hate to get rid of the door which is in very good condition. Was hopeful that you guys might have the part or parts necessary to make the repair. If they're available we would hire a handyman should it be beyond our skillset. Sincerely appreciate, thanks very much.

Unfortunately, we do not carry replacement parts for retractable screens. Andersen uses mostly brand-specific parts, so I'm not sure where you'd be able to find this part if they told you it was discontinued. I'm sorry we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
