I have a house built in 1973 that I'm told has Weathervane windows, as the local builder used those during that time. I see no identifying markings.
There is a piece of hardware on the top of the lower sash that I never use; it appears to keep the sash in the track. If I disengaged both of them on either side, I could likely remove the lower sash. (I'm such a genius at windows) :-)
One of these (left side) had a piece of metal snap off, so the part has separated into loose pieces. The left track also seems to have a metal strip in it that the right track does not, perhaps for a tighter fit. That seems to be bent in the vicinity of this break. I don't know if it happened at the same time, or pre-dated the break.
Currently the lower sash is loose and can't be secured in place easily - even when locked, it tends to be aske and let in cold air.
Might this be a part that you have, or have an approximation for?
Thanks!
Part that keeps the sash in the track - likely Weathervane circa mid 70s

Take a look at our 26-442 tilt latch set and see if it is compatible to your current part.

Thanks Paul, the dimensions look like a match. I appreciate the suggestion and will give it a try.
