Parts for a balance

Quick Learner from Benicia , California
Balance is 21 inches (metal to metal). The edges are "hemmed". Width across the back (closed side) is 9/16. Stamped on the back - 2040gg BSI

I am looking for the top and bottom plastic pieces plus the hook that is attached to the cord.

Can you
A identify the pieces I need to repair my old balance, and
B identify the complete balance I need to order in case I decide to buy a new one rather than trying a diy repair?

Lastly, do you also sell the block and tackle cord?

Thanks you

Trevor

Thanks for posting, Trevor. We highly recommend replacing the entire balance system. Balance springs require very special tools and know-how to replace, in addition to being a high-risk repair due to how much tension they are under. We do not ever recommend attempting to replace the spring by itself or to attempt to restring the pulley. It is far easier, and more cost-effective, to just replace the balance. Start by looking at our S385-21 with a 2040 option.
