Casement Window Arm Supports needed

A home owner from Malibu, CA says:
Pls see the rusted sliding hinge support for my casement window. I'm using the 39-253L Maxim Dual Arm Operator, still mount, and need to replace both sliding support arms (top and bottom) and the underneath the window mounted tracks the sliding arms fit into.

Totally appreciate your diligence in helping us out.

Hello! Looks like you need an all new hinge assembly. That includes both the support arms and the base track that those support arms mount to. In your case I would recommend the 36-004-10, seeing as how it's stainless steel. Since corrosion is your main issue I think stainless is the way to go.

Just note that the 36-004-10 likely won't be identical to your original. I know you said you were going to do this already, but I have to stress that you want to replace the top and bottom at the same time when using a slightly different set like this. That way you can ensure that the window's operation will be even.

The video below will go into more detail as to what you can expect. Please let me know if you had any questions, though, I'd be happy to assist in any way that I can.

Thank you very much for your response. I'm sorry for taking this long to reply and I assume you know the bumper sticker, "Stuff happens." I will order the parts and wrench mentioned in the video. I have a left opening window. I assume the parts are "ambidextrous."

Again real appreciation for helping me out.
