Thanks! It looks like you need a new coil balance assembly. We should be able to help with this project, but I will require more detailed photos. What you're showing me here is just the spring cover, which is unfortunately not enough to identify the full assembly.

To start, you will need to remove the original coil assembly from the window and show me a full picture of the entire thing. That means springs, covers, and pivot shoe all in one shot. While it's out, you will also need to write down the thickness and width of the pivot shoe, as well as the stamp printed on the spring itself. We'll need that data in order to narrow down the list of possibilities.

If there is no stamp printed on the spring, then you will instead need to weigh the sash on a scale and tell me what you get. We can use that to calculate the proper spring calibration.
