The casting broke from almost 4o years of use.
The hole spacing is 4" between the mounting screws, Plus and Minus 2" from the
latching lever.
The wood door is 1 3/4" thick.

Hello,
Your handle set reminds me of the 82-003 with 3-15/16" hole spacing but is meant for 1" thick doors. It may still work for you but you would need to reuse the original thumb latch and installation screws. Take a look and see what you think.

I just called in and ordered 82-003 by phone.
It should arrive in 10 business days.
I will let you know how things turn out, but at least I'll have the outside plates that can't be machined in my shop.
