Patio Door Lock

Hi - I hope you can help me. My patio door lock is broken. The metal part no longer lifts up. Not sure which is broken - the handle - or the locking mechanism - or both. Hope these pictures help. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Eda

Your mortise lock resembles the 82-218, which is commonly used with the 82-030 handle set. Review the dimensions below to see how they compare to your original hardware. I'd also recommend removing the handle and using a slotted screwdriver to engage the mortise lock. That will help you determine if the mortise is broken or if a broken thumb latch or another part may be the problem. Thank you!
