Hi I have a PPG Hercolite.K can2-12.1 843791
and I would like to buy a key entry handle for the outside so I can access my home from the back of my house

I'm not sure what you have. I'm afraid the number you gave is only the information for the glass, not the door itself. Please take a few pictures of the handle and we can work from there.

How do I keep the inside locking mechanism
on the door as well?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if our 82-306 can work with your current inside mortise lock? If so, then yes, I think it should.
