Patio Door handle search

Question

Hi,
I am looking for a more substantial external handle for my glass patio door. The area that the handle would attach to is 7 ¼" long by 7/8" wide and does not have an external key. The internal handle (which is fine) is connected with screws 6 5/8" on center. I am searching for a white handle.

Let me know what you find or if there is somewhere else that might have what I am looking for.

Hello there!

We appreciate you reaching out to us. External handles aren't made for this kind of door, unfortunately. To make matters worse, you can't even install an alternate handle on this door because when you remove the old one, there's a huge hole that's left over that prevents anything else from installing.

One possible solution is to drill two holes either above or below the lockset and install something like the 88-002 directly to the frame. I know that's not ideal and it won't be pretty but this door really limits your options.
