Patio Door rollers from approx, 40 year old patio door.

Home Owner from Huntington Beach, CA 92649
I removed bottom rail of door to get to rollers, The wheel housing is approx. 2 5/8" length, 1" height, 11/16' width. The wheel was sitting approx, 1 1/4" above the housing. The wheel is approx. 1/4" wide. The wheel had the following words - Killian Toronto and Syracuse N.Y.  If possible, I would like to get 2 new housings with wheels and adjustment screws included. One of your technicians did a nice job of directing me to a video that showed me how to remove the bottom railing of the door.

Hello,

Unforutnately, I don't recognize your roller at first glance. It's possible there may be more to the housing that is still stuck inside the frame. If you could double check and show us if there is more to the assembly, we can go from there. Thank you!

Attached are some additional pictures I took of the rollers and housing. I've searched the door and frame for serial numbers and a manufacturer's name but can't find any. The roller housing was attached to the rail by a small screw located at the top of the housing. I used your "Silverline" video to remove the housing and rollers. The Door is reassembled and back in the track until I find the new parts. Thanks for your help.

I believe you may need the 81-092 roller. Take a look at the specifications below to confirm if the dimensions will fit your housing. Thanks for posting!

Thank you for your reply. I believe these are the rollers I need. They appear to match up with my measurements. I will place an order with Swisco for two of them. Many thanks for all of your help!

Great! Just let us know if you need anything else.

I ordered the 81-092 rollers. They should be here in approx. 5 days. The door will be removed from the track when I install the rollers. My question is, at what approx. height should the rollers be when I insert the Patio Door back into the track? It's an old, very heavy door. I don't want to rely on the adjustment screws to do all the lifting. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Unforutnately, there is no set position to install the rollers since you will need more clearance to install the doors and then raise the rollers so that the door is held in place between the top of the door and the bottom track. If you're concerned about the integrity of the roller, we also offer the 81-224 steel wheel, but it is a process to swap them out. Take a look and see what you think.

Thanks for the information. I will go with the rollers I ordered. If they don't do the job, I will consider installing the steel wheels. Thanks again for your help.

Just wanted to let you know, I installed the new rollers in my patio door last week and they work great! The door is sliding 'smooth as silk'. Thanks again for all of your help.
