Patio Sliding not move well plus the handle fell off (Part # 2192 White, Part# 2232 Gold)

Question

I would appreciate your advise on the following Patio Sliding Door issues. The patio was rough to open and I pushed a little hard and the lock felt off.

Questions :

The door is not moving smooth. I tried to clean the bottom and not much dirt being removed. Is there something wrong with the rollers underneath or weather issue?
I put the screw (picture 4) back to the white handle (part# 2192). One can't go all the way in. Is the thread in the nuts gone? Need to replace the white handle?
In Picture 3, the different color of the nuts is very short. Wonder this is stronger enough to hold the 2 handles (White and Gold) in place

Thanks for posting. I'll answer your questions one at a time.

If you cleaned and lubricated your tracks and rollers and they still aren't operating properly, then your next step should be to check for dints, dings, and damage in the track. Look for any spots of wear or even cracks or chips. If the track is in good condition, then it's time to replace the roller. Yours looks like our 81-018, but you should compare yours to our pictures and dimensions to confirm.

I don't know why the screw won't go all the way into your handle. I also can't be sure if the thread is gone. You could try using the other screw in that nut to see if the problem repeats itself. Otherwise, that's not something I can gauge from here.

I'm not sure if I understand your third question. I don't see any color difference between the two nuts. That said, they're designed to hole your handle in place. Why wouldn't they be strong enough to do the job they were designed to do? If you feel like they're close to breaking due to years of use, then it may be time to consider replacing your handle set altogether with something like our 82-086.
