Patio door handle

Question

My patio door will not stay locked. When you lift the slide up to lock it immediately falls and unlocks. Took it apart and noticed the plastic part that should be around the round post is missing. How do I order this?

I'm not sure I understand the issue. Your lockset shouldn't slide up to lock and unlock. Instead, there should just be a little lever that you flip.

If I'm understanding your description, then it sounds like one of the screw bosses broke. That would account for why the lockset itself is loose in the frame. You may want to consider an all new lockset to replace this. See our 82-002 for my recommendation.
