Patio door handle identification

A home owner from MD says:

Pictures of my part is attached. I believe this part is the same as your 82-086. The measurements are the same. I would like to also purchase the mortise lock 82-218. These are to replace current locks. Would there be any reason why these wouldn't be a good fit.

Thanks for writing in. I agree, this handle set certainly looks like our 82-086. Now, as far as the mortise lock goes, the 82-218 is certainly compatible with this handle set; but we don't know if it's compatible with the hole in your door where the mortise lock inserts. We would need to see a picture of the hole in the door to have an idea of what mortise lock you need. Even then it may be difficult to say for certain what mortise lock you need without seeing the original hardware. Let us know what you think.
