Patio door lock replacement

Question

I have an Anderson patio door and the lock requires replacement. I bought the latch and the outside keyed lock but the door still won't lock. Did I forget to purchase an important piece to this puzzle?

I'm not sure exactly what you purchased, or what the issue is. Is it that the key cannot turn? Or is it that when you turn the key, the mortise hook doesn't move? Is it that the mortise lock hook doesn't engage with the keeper?

We carry the 82-037 Andersen lock and keeper as a kit. In some cases, you need to replace both. The older keeper might not be compatible with your new mortise lock.
