Patio door mortise latch

Question

I need a door latch that will fit into 3" opening. Most seem to be 3-3/16". Can you help me and recommend one?

I'm afraid I don't know what it is you need. There's a lot more that goes into identifying a mortise lock than just the size of the opening. You also have to consider the installation hole spacing, depth, and handle set compatibility.

Do you have the original mortise on hand that I can look at? Could I also see a picture of the opening itself, as well as the handle set?
