Patio door track too wide

Question

Can your track part 80-106 be cut to 5/8 wide?
I tossed my old one away as it was bent. I know, my bad.

It would be awfully hard to cut the lip off the 80-106. Not saying you can't, but it is a fairly thick gage aluminum. Have you taken a look at the related video on installing the 80-106? The wider side of the track is so that you have room to install the set screws to secure it.
