Patio slider door handle replacement

Question

I'd like to replace this 'dummy' type handle set with one that will work with the operable locking latch feature of the hardware mortises into the door. The locking hook type latch has a square opening for a locking lever and swings down from the top.
i don't have photos of the handle set removed at this time

Sure, I think we can help. The dummy set you have now is Andersen brand, but your mortise lock looks like our 82-226. This is strictly only compatible with non-Andersen applications. With that in mind I would suggest our 82-030. This has a 3-15/16" hole center spacing and is fully compatible with the 82-226.
