Paw proof screen

A quick learner from Pennsylvania says:
I just bought your Paw Proof screen and some 55-109 spline to replace the standard screen in a forever screen door. Although the spline goes in easily with the concave roller tool on a standard screen. I cannot get the Paw proof to go into the groove. Is there a special spline for this screen or a tip to get this job done?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Unfortunately, the 55-109 is not meant to work with pet screen. I'm afraid we don't carry a rigid screen spline that can. The issue is that the flat channel in which the 55-109 (and similar rigid splines) installs into cannot hold the thicker pet style screen. Regular splines can, but they can't fit in that flat channel. You would need a screen made specifically to use this kind of screen. I recommend contacting a local hardware store for assistance.
