Peachtree Balances

A quick learner from Delaware says:
Need replacement balances for 25 early 1980's Peachtree windows. Window label example: Ali-Class A, G4686 Type A, stamp on balance is 3672. Have other sizes as well. Stamp does not match example of those that show weight class. Can the G4686 numbers be used to map to proper balance, or do I remove sash, measure balance and weight sash? Thanks.

Since this is a Peachtree window, I believe you have our S745-32 channel balance. Carefully look it over and see if it matches up. I would also recommend the 31.25-4 option for sashes weighing 24 through 28 pounds. I recommend weighing your sash on a scale to confirm that this is right.
