Need help finding replacement lock for this recess , keeper. Sliding glider windows horizontal series 581021\n 02 screws on lock. Are two and one sixteen apart

I need the correct lock mechanism that fits into the keeper. The lock is what is broken, not the keeper please. Advise what lock fits into keeper 90-331.

Thanks for clarifying. There are actually many different locks compatible with this keeper, there's not just one. You could have anything.

It's not possible to identify locks by just the keeper. It would be better to see a clearer photo of the lock itself. I need to see it from a top-down, unobstructed angle. I also need you to measure the distance between the two installation holes, center-to-center, and write that out in your response for me to review.

Hello and thank you for your response. The screw holes on the lock are 2 1/16 center to center.

Thanks! Please see our 90-278. This appears to be a good match for your original lock. It comes with a keeper, but since your original is a different style you can just discard that.

I did order the lock you suggested , but it does not fit . I cannot use the new keeper because it is too thick. The new keeper does not match the picture of the keeper I sent you. Can you take another look at the picture of the lock and keer This is a good lock and keeper .Nothing is broken. If you notice the middle mechanism inside the lock has no hook. It works By compressing both sliding window and the non sliding glass together for it to lock. Is there another option for a lock that will fit my original keeper or is there a set I can buy. Also , please note when the Sliding window is closed.You cannot see the keeper , it's so compressed against the lock

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. You definitely can't use the new keeper, no. You will be forced to use the old one. In my previous response, I advised discarding the new keeper since it wouldn't be relevant.

Did you try using the new lock with the old keeper?
