Pella Folding Crank and Lock Kit

Quick Learner from NEW JERSEY
I'm interested in purchasing the Pella Folding Crank and Lock Kit (Product Code: 39-601). However, I have one question regarding the locking lever: Is this locking lever an universal piece, or does it come in a left-hand or right-hand option?

Hello there. The opposite-handed version of the 39-601 is the 39-600. Please compare. Let us know if you have further questions.

Another quick question is the left and right handed option determined based on looking at the window from the outside or inside the house ?

With these specific Pella crank and lock kits, the best way to determine the orientation needed is to go by the position of the spline on the operator base that you're buying the kit for. For the 39-600, the spline is positioned to the left side of the operator. For the 39-601, it is to the right. Let me know if that makes sense, or if you have further questions.
