Pella Storm Door Retainer Strips

Thanks for posting! In the last twenty-five years, storm door companies like Pella have found that designing plastic retainer strips instead of using the old fashioned storm door clips is less expensive. The problem is that most door companies change the retainer strip almost every year. That makes it next to impossible to stock them. 

With that said, we do have an alternative solution that you can try, which is more flexible and, in my opinion, more reliable. This was an old fashioned method used back in the day, before these strips became so popular. What you do is take a small clip like our 70-180 and install these at intermittent points around the insert using a thumb screw like our 70-112 . they will serve the same function as the old retainer strips and in my opinion are a lot easier to swap out, once they're in use.
