We have double hung Pella windows in our house which we installed new in 1985. Two of the window sash balance cords have torn. I believe the only reason they tore it was they jumped off the roller wheel and got jammed. I am old enough to know that you just don't buy line and replace sash cords with any kind of cord. It needs to be for the purpose. I am looking for the p/n to purchase replacement sash cord for these windows.
Measured core diameter using a micrometer., 0.073". This looks to be slightly less than 5/64" so I suspect 5/64 is probably the right dimension.
Can you please forward me a part number so I can purchase.

I'm afraid you'll need an all new balance. We'd be happy to help but we'll need you to remove an undamaged balance with the end attachments intact to compare to our inventory. Take a look at the video below, it will explain exactly what we'll need to see.
