Pella casement window winder

Handy Person from Stehekin washington
Hey folks, I installed this right hand opening casement window in 2001 for a client. A little bitty attachment piece on the window where one winder strut attaches done broke. (Windy place) I kinda assume I'll need an entirely new winder, but not sure if where it attaches and where it broke would be included with a new winder set, or if that piece would be assumed as part of the window. What happened was the winder broke, the window broke, and during replacement of the glass it was discovered this little piece where the attachment screw goes through also broke.

So any help is great

Big note: I pictured the left hand opening side of this big window. So that winder is not the one I need. From the inside, the broken one opens to the right, So I'm figgeringt that thar is a right hand winder. Wait time is fine, I'm taking a few days off starting tomorrow.

Thanks, bob

Hello,

We can't be sure without seeing the base and handle but your photo resembles the Roto 39-091 and 39-092 operators. It sounds like either the gears or spline that the handle attaches to may be stripped, which would require replacing the entire assembly. Please note that ROTO discontinued the link arms for these operators and I'm afraid we know of no substitute. You will have to reuse your old ones if possible. Review the specifications below and see what you think.

Okay, I'll check this out.
The gears aren't stripped, one of the arm deals that attaches to the underside of the window to control its movement lost its little metal tab that it attaches to. That little thing broke, and I can't figure a way to cobble a repair.

I'm probably gunna have to tell her her window is dead. I really don't want to replace the whole thing. Its a massive window with opening casement at each side.
Pretty disappointed you don't have parts for a 22 year old window.

I'll get overall photos soon.

Thanks

The link arm and mounting bracket were sold as one piece but, unfortunately, it was discontinued by Roto. Once the manufacturer discontinues one of their parts, we are not left with many options since we do not manufacturer parts in house. I'm sorry that we won't be able to offer more assistance with this repair but please let us know if you have any other questions.
