Pella glass sliding door broken thumb latch

A quick learner from Storrs, CT says:
Need to find this part: Pella patio sliding door broken thumb latch. I have two of these doors. You see above how the other working one looks compared to the broken one. Any suggestions, please.

Thanks for writing in. Pella discontinued this door some time ago, so I'm not entirely certain we can help. However, take a look at our 82-252 and 82-253. One of these may work; you'll need to remove the old latch and compare to make sure the style matches up. I stress this just an educated guess, but it's the closest match we have. Let me know how you make out.

A quick learner says:
Do you have instructions for how to replace and install? I have the same issue

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

I believe that if you where to remove the inside handle on the door you should be able to access the location where you can install the lever. It should just fit into the mortise key way.

Hopefully this information is helpful. Please let me know if you had any follow-up questions.
