Pella lever lock for awning window

The window opens and closes with the crank. When closing the window, the lock doesn't stay closed. It keeps popping out. The small plastic tubes on the inside of the lever lock broke and fell out.

I should clarify. We have two of these. On each one lock works and the other doesn't. On one of the broken ones the plastic tube is broken. On the other (photographed) the plastic tube is fine.

Yes looks same and 2.5" as shown in diagram.
