I need the lock and latch that replaces the one in my storm door-the latch will not recede 2 post dead bolt works OK

I'm not sure what it is you have. Could it be something like our 40-191? If not, we will need to see a picture of the part in question out of the door.

The mortise taken out of my Pella storm door looks like your photo of 40-191 with the two round dead lock posts except mine has a brass face plate not a color--I am only concerned about your mortise fitting my Pella door

I'm afraid we aren't able to get this part with a brass face plate. All of the colors we offer cover both the mortise lock and the face plate. That said, I still can't confirm if the 40-191 is what you have. The only way to confirm is to carefully go over the dimensions we show for it and compare them to your measurements of your existing lock.
