Pella sliding door handle

Home Owner from Bradford NH

These are the numbers on my sliding glass door. The problem is the handle is broken, has never locked since I bought my house 7 years ago. The top screw of the handle has sheared off from the exterior handle plate, leaving a hole on the outside handle which in the photo 11731 has been patched over with jbweld steelstick in an attempt to make the door openable from outside.

I need a whole new door handle and key lock set. the inside handle screws are set just shy of 3 15/16" and the key lock screws are 3 11/16" (as close as I could measure). Can you help me?

Hello, thank you for posting,

Please start by reviewing the style and dimensions of the 82-030A handle set that has a 3-15/16" installation hole spacing from center to center. For the mortise lock, take a look at the 82-218. Let us know what you think and if you have any additional questions!

Is there any difference between the handles for a door that pulls open to the right or the left? My current exterior door handle is perpendicular to the glass. That's good because the exterior door frame extends 2 1/2 " beyond the glass, meaning the handle shown in the picture cannot be installed with the handle part facing left: the door frame is in the way.

Hello,

The 82-030A handle set can be installed on left or right-handed mortise-locking doors. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
