Hey, I just bought a house and there is a Pella sliding glass door at Living room with a Pella sliding glass door handle, but there is no catch at the jamb. The previous owners were just using a surface type add on bolt to lock the door. There has never been a catch installed on the jamb itself because there are not even holes at the jamb where a catch would have once been. Door and handle itself looks to be approx. 10-15 years old and appears to be Pella's entry level vinyl door. Could you direct me to a part # of a catch that you think would work?
Thx,
JW

Looking at your photo, your internal mortise lock looks like our 82-218. This mortise is compatible with about half a dozen different keepers, so I'm not sure exactly what would be ideal. Our 3/4" high 89-020 is common, as are our 89-021 or 89-021D, which are both 7/16" in height. Look these over and see what you think.

Thanks for this info. I will investigate on my end to see if 3/4 or 7/16 is what this door is set up to latch to and go from there.

Would it help to know that Pella's vinyl line are formerly Viking products?
