Need replacement set including handle, lock, key. It is Pella brand. This is about 15 years old. Thanks for your help.

Take a look and compare the specifications of the 40-199 handle set and 40-191 mortise lock to your original Pella hardware. Thanks for posting!

I think those are the correct parts. The handle style and decorative curves at the top and bottom are different, which I assume doesn't matter. Is the handle set available in a brushed chrome like my original? If not, the gold would be OK. Do most somewhat handy homeowners do the replacement themselves, or is it better to have a locksmith do it? Return policy? Thanks.

Thank you for your patience. We are currently looking into this to see if we can supply this handle set in brushed nickel but we'll need a bit more time to confirm. We'll let you know as soon as more information is available.

Good news, the 40-199 is now available in brushed nickel.

As for the repair, many of our customers do the installation themselves but some feel more comfortable enlisting the help of a local professional. Thanks for posting and let us know if you need anything else.

I'm sorry for the confusion. We have located a source for the 40-199 in brushed nickel but we need to wait for them to arrive. We added the new color option to the product page so that you can sign up to be auto-notified to receive an email as soon as they come in.
