Thanks for contacting us! Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Pella. I understand completely. We'll do our best to help. It's peculiar that this is an awning window. I actually didn't know Pella put these hinges on awning windows. They're simple two arm mechanisms that are held to the frame of the window with just one screw, as shown in your very last photo. My instinct is that that single screw would have a lot of pressure on it when the window is open. I don't mean to second guess the installers, I'm sure they had their reasons, it's just not a setup I'm familiar with. I suppose the main reason I bring it up is because I'm not sure if the Pella hinges we have would be ideal for this window. I don't know if you have something maybe a little special. We carry a selection of Pella hinges, but they're mostly used on casement windows. One of them may work regardless and I could be making a mountain out of a mole hill. Assuming ours will work fine, then the best match will depend on your specific dimensions, which I am not sure of, but I'll list them here for you to review.
Please look these products over and let me know what you think. If none of our dimensions match up then we will do our best to find something that will. |
