Can't lock the window.There isn't any fastner to sucur it to,the horseshoe shape type.The window
Won't go down enough to latch to

Thanks for posting. Are the sashes bowed? That would cause the sashes not to meet in the middle. Also check the interlocks for both the top and bottom sashes. They could be bent, or perhaps a foreign object could be preventing the windows from meshing.
