Philips window balance 26 9 LP CALDWELL

Hi. I'd like to order replacements for our Philips sash balances- one side's cord has torn. It looks very similar to the following.

27" SERIES 385 CHANNEL BALANCE
Product Code: S385-27

The markings on the sash says 26 9 LP Caldwell. There are no other stamps. The window is double pained and ~29" tall (total of ~57" tall).

Please let me know which parts you recommend ordering.

Thanks for posting. The S385-27 may be a match, but it would depend on the style of the nylon caps. As long as they match the 19-005 and 15-004, you should be okay. As for the stamp, you will need to weigh your sash on a scale to confirm the best option.

Hi, I just weighed it. The single side of the sash balance weighs 12.6 oz.

The nylon caps match.

Hi, I just noticed a "C" stamped on the top of the spring. Hope this helps.

What Tom meant is that you should weigh the sliding glass window sash; not the sash balance. It's important to know how much weight the balances will need to hold. Can you remove and weigh your sash instead?

It's 23 lb for the bottom part of the window.

23 pound sashes require a 2640 stamp option on a 27" Series 385 balance.
