Philip's window balance

These are from a Philips vinyl non tilting window. The window measures 28w by 52" high. The balance is 24" overall length and 1/2" wide. It is marked "22 3 Caldwell FM"

I am certain we can help, but that stamp only tells us the balance's spring strength. I need to see the nylon fitting on the opposite end of the metal channel for complete identification. From there I should be able to narrow down what you need. Thanks.

Thanks for getting back to me. Firstly, measure the length of the metal channel, but do not include the fittings at either end in the measurement. This should be 23". If so, you need either an S380-23 or S385-23. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, as shown in the picture below. Compare both with your old hardware to see what you need. You will need a stamp option of 2230.
