This is a very long spring. It almost looks to be for an Andersen patio screen door. Take a look at our 86-012 and see if that matches your sample.

Indeed, I found it is an Andersen screen door. The only difference I see between ours and 86-012 is the "tabs" on the ends are facing inward...ours are outwards. I don't know if this matters...

That is strange. Are you sure yours are facing outwards? Looking at your picture it looks like they're facing in. If your door is an Andersen, then I would double check. I have never seen the end tabs facing outward on an Andersen door.

You know? I'd bet your right....I wasn't thinking that the part is still in the door. I do have a mild dyslexia which probably doesn't help!

I'll order that part...it must be right.
