Pile insulation

Question

My old cottage windows have this pile in between each sliding sash. They are supposed to be glued to the frame.  Time has work then down. Any recommendations?

We unfortunately don't sell anything that would serve as a replacement here. What you want is specifically called a "dust plug," which we don't sell. A local hardware store may have what you need, but keep in mind that this adhesive is going to be a problem. I would check with your hardware store to see if they have any suggestions on what you can use to loosen the glue.
