How to extract broken pivot bar

Question

My question is, when a portion of the pivot bar is broken in the window track how do I extract it? it wont slide out! or do I just push in what is there with the new Bar?

Thanks for posting! This is always frustrating, but there are a few methods you could try. First, with the screw removed, you can try to push in the old pin with the new tilt bar like you mentioned. If it's stuck in the pivot lock shoe, use pliers to carefully turn the broken pin. Keep in mind that when you do this, the pivot shoe will shoot up, so hold on until it stops moving up.
