Pivot Bar Won't Leave Shoe

Question

Hi, I am trying to remove my window (one pane is broken and I am getting it repaired) but i am finding that the pivot bar (when window is tilted in at 90 degrees to floor) will not budge from the pivot lock shoe.  it seems frozen in place (not surprising since the window is about 20 years old).  any suggestion on how to help unfreeze the pivot bar from the pivot shoe lock?  otherwise the windows work great.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us. We recommend you try to loosen the pivot bar with WD-40. In some cases, you have to let it soak for at least 24 hours.
